PlainPaid

Terms and refund policy

Plain terms for a simple tool. Last updated 13 October 2026.

The service

PlainPaid is a website for making invoices, estimates, proformas, receipts and credit notes. It is made by Mano Studio (operated by Long Chen), Denmark (“we”), who also sell PlainPaid Pro. You can use it free, without an account. Your documents are made and saved in your own browser; see the privacy page for what is stored where.

Using it

  • You are responsible for what you put on your documents and for sending correct invoices to your clients.
  • The invoice checklist and the guides on this site are help, not legal or tax advice. Rules change; check with your tax authority or accountant when it matters.
  • Your documents live in your browser. Keep a copy: turn on cloud backup or download backup files. If you lose your cloud backup key, nobody can recover that backup, including us.
  • Do not use the site to break the law or to attack or overload it.

PlainPaid Pro

  • Pro costs $19 a year, renewing every year until you cancel. Prices include or add VAT and sales tax as required where you live; the checkout shows the final amount before you pay.
  • Payment is processed by Stripe through Link, the merchant of record for these sales. Their terms apply to the payment itself.
  • Cancel any time at link.com or from your receipt email. Pro then keeps working until the end of the year you paid for and does not renew.
  • When Pro ends, nothing you made is taken away: documents keep their layout, and you can still open, download and export everything. Only new Pro choices and the statistics view need an active licence.
  • A licence is for you or your own business. Please do not share it publicly.

Refunds

If Pro is not for you, ask for a refund within 30 days of buying or renewing and you get your money back in full, no questions asked. Ask through Link (link.com), the support link in your receipt email, or [email protected]. Refunds go back to the way you paid; the subscription and the licence then stop.

No guarantees

PlainPaid is provided as it is. We work to keep it correct and available, but cannot promise it is free of errors or always online. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for Pro in the last 12 months. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by agreement.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that matters, the new version is posted here with a new date. A price change applies from your next renewal, and you will hear about it by email before then.

Law

These terms are governed by Danish law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the law where you live.
